Section 1. The name of the organization shall be the SINGERS GLENN BOWBENDERS.
Section 1. The purpose of this organization shall be: to foster, expand and perpetuate of the field archery, and the spirit of good fellowship among all archers; to encourage the use of bow in hunting of all legal game, birds, and animals; and cooperate with the National Field Archery Association, and the Virginia Bowhunters Association, Inc. In securing better hunting privileges and conditions for bow hunters; to cooperate with all conservation organizations in the conservation of wildlife and natural resources; to maintain a field archery course and conduct tournaments and games in a accordance with the riles of the National Field Archery Association .
Section 1. Active membership shall be granted to anyone who has attained his/her twelfth (12)
birthday, who has been sponsored by two (2) members in good standing and upon application,
payment of regular fees and dues, upon the majority of the membership present.
1. Application for membership must be presented by sponsoring club members. Applicant should not
be present the night the vote is taken. He will be given an invitation for membership if club approval
is given.
2. Club membership shall not exceed 100.
3. Present members in good standing will get first chance to rejoin (by Feb. Meeting), after which new
members may apply. The date placed on the application will determine the order in which membership will
be voted on and invited into club if approved.
1. The board of Directors shall consist of the President, Vice President, Recording
Secretary,
Corresponding Secretary, Past President, Treasurer ,and three other regular members of good standing. (Trustees)
2.The Board of Directors shall control and manage the activities, polices and property of the
organization subject to approval by the membership.
3. At any meeting of the Board, five (5) members shall constitute a quorum.
4. All vacancies of the board or any office shall be filled by election by members at the first regular
meeting of the organization following a vacancy.
5. The Board of Directors shall meet as needed at a time and place to be fixed by the board.
6. The Board of Directors may suspend any member for conduct detrimental to the interest
of the organization.
1. The officers of the organization shall consist of a President, Vice President, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary and Treasurer.
1. The annual meeting of this organization shall be the first regular meeting
after December 1st of each year and must be held no later than December 31st.
2 At the annual meeting the membership shall elect the President, Vice President, Recording
Secretary, Corresponding Secretary and Treasurer.
3 The directors shall be elected for a term of three years excepting those elected
to fill out an unexpired term.
4 A registered agent shall be appointed by the Board of Directors as
required.
1. All dues and outstanding accounts due the organization are due and payable the
1st of January of each year. Any member in arrears by the February regular meeting shall be considered
delinquent and his membership slot will become available to a new applicant.
1.The President shall appoint committees of to or more persons as needed.
1 Tournaments shall be held as determined by the wishes of the outdoor and indoor
committees.
2 All tournaments expecting novelty shoots will be in accordance with tournaments
rules of the Virginia Bowhunters association.
1 Regular monthly meetings shall be held the first Thursday of each month.
2 The number present at a properly called meeting shall constitute
a quorum.
1. The building fund shall be money set aside for the purchases and/or
improvements and maintenance of the club properties.
2. The general treasury of the club will be limited to Two Thousand Dollars
($2000). All surplus money shall be immediately transferred to the Building Fund or savings account.
3. If club becomes non-existent, the monies and proceeds will go to charity.
1.No youth under the age of 18 shall be permitted on club grounds unless accompanied by an adult club member.
1. No alcohol shall be allowed on the premises.
2. Persons considered to be under the influences of alcohol shall nor be permitted
to remain on club grounds. Includes self-administered intoxicants.)
1.The club may spend up to One Thousand Dollars ($1000) for an approved club
project or activity without clubs approval of actual or estimated amount.
2. In cases of emergencies, as determined by the Board of Directors, prior approval
by club membership is not required. Example -- roof blows off)
1.The constitution of this organization may be altered, repealed or additional articles may be added by a majority vote of a quorum.
The By-Laws of this organization may be altered, amended, repealed or additional articles may be added by a majority vote at a regular meeting of the membership provided the proposed changes were presented at a previous meeting.
